IBM has come up with an initiative of offering IBM
electives (DB2, RAD, Cognos) to the JKC students. As part of this
Program IBM will |
| offer free Training activities and will provide free
Software to the JKC colleges for the training purpose. The
certifications will also |
| be conducted free of cost. |
| IBM certified trainers will conduct the trainings in
the colleges and once the training is completed, representatives
from IBM will |
| conduct an exam. However, it is mandatory for the
student to participate in IBMs The Great Mind Challenge competition
and clear |
| two screening tests before appearing for the
certification exam. The Great Mind Challenge is a national level
contest for the |
| students and it provides the students with easy
access to free training on high end technologies and also opens
doors to |
| placement opportunities according to ones skill
set. |
